Often referred to as The Dome or the Superdome, this large multi-purpose sports and exhibition facility is located in the Central Business District of New Orleans and has played host to more Super Bowls than any other sports facility. It is within walking distance of many popular areas of New Orleans, such as the French Quarter, the Central Business District and the mighty Mississippi River. The Superdome is a popular choice for large events such as nationally recognized music acts, home & garden shows, the Hot Rod Association’s Monster Jam as well as trade shows and conventions.
The national spotlight focused on the Superdome during the Hurricane Katrina disaster as it was home to thousands of evacuees. While the facility suffered extensive damage, it has been fully renovated and is now fully functional and better than ever.
